Dr Dan Poulter is the Member of Parliament for Central Suffolk and North Ipswich and a practising NHS psychiatrist. He served as a Government Health Minister between 2012 and 2015 with responsibilities including the NHS workforce, procurement, estates, technology, patient safety, women & childrens health and veterans. Since that time he has Co-Chaired the All Party Parliamentary Group on Global Health.
Dr Poulter has considerable board level experience across both the private and public sector including the Ipswich Towns Fund Board and he previously served as a non-executive director of an AIM listed healthcare company.
In his professional work as a psychiatrist, Dr Poulter is a published mental health author and he has led research which has been published in peer review journals.
He is also a charitable trustee for an Ipswich based sheltered housing provider.
