VOLUNTEERING

WE NEED YOU!

The Nest Farms could not operate without the help of our volunteers, Working with the staff at The Nest our volunteers help and support our Young People with the running of the farm and in delivering key projects. Sharing their knowledge, experience and time our volunteers are an essential part of the family here at the Nest and in turn find their time here incredibly rewarding.

We have 3 types of Volunteers and are keen to hear from you if you would like further information.

- regular weekly half day and full day volunteer positions.

Could you commit to coming to the farm every week to support our Young People in the activities they undertake on the farm? You will have time to get to know our young people share your knowledge and experience and make a real impact to the day to day running of the farm.

- monthly work party volunteers

Once a month (during British summer time) we run a weekend volunteering session to tackle specific jobs on the farm. This could include fencing, building, painting, harvesting, weeding and general maintenance. But dont worry if you haven't got any experience in these areas - we'll need someone to man the BBQ!

-event / fundraising volunteers

Helping with open days and fundraising events, your help would be on an ad-hoc basis and would be hugely helpful in raising the profile and support of the farm.

Having previously suffered with anxiety myself, and as a mother, I feel passionate about helping young people have a brighter future.  Working alongside the incredible team at The Nest outside in the fresh air is good for my own mental health, and I can see the incremental, positive changes in the young people around me.
