Our ever growing Nest

Our ever growing Nest

Welcome to The Nest's Monthly Newsletter!

Our farm is ever-growing and this month has been particularly exciting as we welcomed many new young people to The Nest, as well as two adorable new members – Bluey and Bingo, our teeny tiny tortoises! Their presence has brought so much joy and curiosity to everyone here.

Noddy’s Tractor Run – A Memorable Event

On the 9th of June, we had the pleasure of attending Noddy’s Tractor Run, an event that brought together an amazing array of over 100 tractors. The sight was truly spectacular, and it was heartwarming to see so many people come together for a great causes. Many attendees showed a keen interest in learning about The Nest, and we were thrilled to share our story with them. We are incredibly proud to announce that the event raised a fantastic £2,875.77 for The Nest. A huge thank you to everyone who participated and supported us – your generosity helps us continue our mission.

Celebrating Academic Achievements

We are excited to share that some of our young people have begun their AQA certificates. This is a significant milestone, and we are looking forward to enrolling all our young people come September. At The Nest, we believe in recognizing and celebrating the hard work and achievements of our young people. The AQA certificates offer a wide range of topics, including crafting, photography, cooking, animal husbandry, woodwork, and even core subjects such as English, Maths, and Science. This diverse selection provides our young people with the opportunity to take control and responsibility for their learning and growth while they are with us.

Three weeks to go

With only three weeks left of this academic year we would like to thank everyone who has supported us and donate through our JustGiving page. Thank you to the people who have come to The Nest to see what we do and for those who have come to do activities with our young people. We would love to hear from any local people who would be interested in coming to The Nest and teaching our young people skills in their craft after summer. Send us an email to hello@thenestfarms.org, we would love to hear from you!
