The Nest Farms – June Newsletter
As summer truly begins to show its full colours, we’ve taken time this month to reflect, connect, and celebrate.
Celebrating Volunteer Week
We kicked off June by marking Volunteer Week — a special time to honour the incredible people who give up their time to support our young people. Our volunteers are at the very heart of The Nest. They show up week after week with open ears, open hearts, and steady hands — helping to create a safe, supportive space where it’s okay not to be okay. Your presence makes all the difference, and we are so grateful.
Life-Saving Lessons with Our Local Heroes
This term, we had the privilege of welcoming Lisa, Simon, and Kathryn, Community First Responders from the East of England Ambulance Service. Over two afternoons, they shared essential life-saving skills with all our young people — empowering them with knowledge and confidence in emergency situations. Thank you for your time, your care, and your service.
Finding Peace with Yoga Jo
We were delighted to have Yoga Jo back with us this term. Through gentle sessions held outdoors among the trees and animals, Jo guided our young people in reconnecting with their bodies and breath. The peaceful surroundings added something truly special — moments of grounding, reflection, and joy. Everyone gave it a go and came away feeling lighter.
Looking Back, and Looking Ahead
As a team, we’ve also been taking time to look back over the past year — all the growth, the challenges, and the little victories. With the end of term on the horizon, we’re now preparing for a new chapter as many of our young people get ready to move on to new adventures beyond The Nest. It’s a bittersweet time, but one filled with hope and pride.
Thank you for being part of our community. Whether you volunteer, fundraise for us, or simply cheer us on from afar — you help make The Nest what it is.
