April has been a fantastic and inspiring month here at The Nest, filled with achievement, new experiences, and generous support.
We are incredibly proud of the five dedicated runners who took to the streets of London this month to raise funds for The Nest. Together, they raised an amazing £4,500—an outstanding effort and a true testament to their commitment. If you’re inspired and interested in running for The Nest next year, we’d love to hear from you. Please contact Frankie at frankie@thenestfarms.org.
This month, our young people had the opportunity to explore the benefits of equine therapy. We were delighted to welcome Joanne Lawford to the farm, who delivered a series of introductory sessions. These experiences sparked inspiration among our young people and created some truly special moments of calm, connection, and reflection. Providing opportunities like this—where young people can try new things in a safe, supportive, and non-judgemental environment—is at the heart of what we do.
We were also pleased to welcome Gemma from Suffolk Police, who delivered an important session on online safety. As more aspects of daily life move online, it’s vital that young people understand how to navigate the digital world safely. From online shopping to protecting personal and financial information, these sessions equip them with essential knowledge for the future.
Finally, we would like to extend a huge thank you to the Hargreaves and Kemball Family Fund through Suffolk Community Foundation for their generous grants this month. Their support is truly invaluable to us as a charity, helping us continue to provide meaningful experiences and opportunities for the young people we serve. We are deeply grateful for their kindness and belief in our work.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support.
