January Newsletter

Hello everyone,

Happy New Year!
We hope you’ve had a positive start to 2026. Here’s a little update on what we’ve been up to at The Nest as we begin the new term.

๐ŸŒŸ Suffolk Future Fund – Thank You!

A huge thank you to the Suffolk Future Fund for their recent grant. This funding will allow us to offer a few fully funded placements to local young people who are in desperate need of support. We are incredibly grateful for this opportunity.

๐Ÿค Cadent Corporate Volunteers

Another big thank you this week to the small Cadent volunteer team who headed down to the farm on what must have been the wettest and muddiest day possible! Their help with tasks was very much appreciated — a great team effort, and it’s always lovely to welcome back familiar faces.

๐Ÿง˜‍โ™€๏ธ Yoga Jo Is Back

We’re delighted to welcome Yoga Jo back to The Nest, bringing her rays of sunshine and helping us explore new and nourishing ways of moving our bodies. A perfect way to reset for the new year.

๐Ÿ›’ Tesco Groundwork Grant

Thank you to everyone who voted for us in the Tesco Groundwork Grant — fingers crossed! We should hear the outcome in the next few weeks, so watch this space.

๐Ÿ‘‹ Farewell & Welcome

At the end of last term, we said a fond farewell to our wonderful Amy, who is heading off on a new adventure. We wish her the very best of luck and are currently on the lookout for the right person to join our team.

We’d also like to say a huge thank you to our volunteer Kerry, who has stepped up to support the team while we recruit for our new Wellbeing Lead.

A big welcome to Gemma, who has joined us in the office — we’re so pleased to have her on board.

๐Ÿƒ‍โ™€๏ธ Running for The Nest

Our LLHM runners will be visiting the farm this weekend, and we’re super excited — it’s going to be a fantastic day!

There are so many ways to support The Nest, including taking part in upcoming local runs:

  • Woodbridge 10k – May

  • Ipswich Half Marathon – September

  • The Whole Hog – October

Why not choose to run for us and help provide vital support for a local young person?

Thank you, as always, for being part of The Nest community. Your continued support means so much to us.

Warm wishes,
The Nest Team ๐ŸŒฑ
