As spring bloomed in full force, May brought energy, connection, and creativity to The Nest. Here’s a look back at the month’s highlights!
BT Volunteer Group Lends a Hand
We were thrilled to welcome a fantastic team from BT, who generously gave their time to help us spruce up our beach huts and the barn. Their efforts have helped get everything ready for a busy summer — thank you for making a difference!
Building Bridges: Police Visit
A big thank you to PC Amy Yeldham and PCSO Christian Hassler who spent an afternoon with us. They took time to chat with our young people, building positive relationships and opening up important conversations around safety and wellbeing.
Expressing Through Art – Mental Health Week
We were proud to take part in a moving Art Exhibition at Framlingham College for Mental Health Week. Our young people had a powerful platform to share their stories and creativity.
Special thanks to Viva Bamford for the opportunity and support in making this happen — your encouragement means the world.
In the Spotlight – BBC Radio Suffolk
We had a special visit from Luke Deal of BBC Radio Suffolk, who interviewed Hannah about our work for Mental Health Week.
Tune in via catch-up (12th May at 11:21am) to hear the segment – and yes, Luke was especially taken with our resident snake! 🐍😄
Capturing The Nest on Film
We had an exciting week with Pine Agency, who joined us to film the heart and soul of The Nest. The upcoming short film will be an incredible tool for talks, funding applications, and our website — giving people a real insight into the impact we make.
Connecting at the Suffolk Show
This year’s Suffolk Show was another big success! We loved meeting new faces — from schools, social care, and families — and reconnecting with young people who have been part of The Nest. Spreading awareness of what we do is vital to supporting even more young lives.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to such a vibrant and meaningful month. Here’s to a summer full of growth, joy, and new connections
