π The Nest October Newsletter π
As we head towards the end of this half term, we’ve had some wonderful moments here at The Nest — filled with creativity, movement, laughter, and community spirit!
Creative Reflections with Adonia
We were delighted to welcome Adonia, an art therapist, who led a truly inspiring workshop with our young people. Together, we explored the idea of “safe spaces” — whether that’s a place, a person, a pet, or a cherished object. It was such a thoughtful and heartwarming session, offering everyone a chance to reflect and share in a calm, creative environment.
Movement with Nicki Ripman Fitness
We also had the fantastic Nicki Ripman Fitness join us for some energetic movement sessions. The first half saw everyone padded up and diving into some fun boxercise in the polytunnel — it definitely got our bodies moving and heart rates up! Then, we took to the field for a few lively games of dodgeball, full of laughter, teamwork, and good-natured competition between our young people, volunteers, and staff.Pumpkins, Tea & Cake — Community Fun!
Pumpkins, Tea & Cake — Community Fun!
A huge thank you to Moat Farm Pumpkin Patch for their generous donation of beautiful pumpkins! Some were sold alongside tea and cake by our youngest Nest team members last weekend, raising an amazing £250 for The Nest. The rest returned to the farm for our young people to enjoy and get creative with.
